Children of lost their parents due to HIV/ Aids, farmer’s suicides due to rain fed crop failures, Natural Calamities, Cyclones, Accidents, Poverty, Children of convicts, Alcoholic andSubstance abuse, deserted children are rescued and brought to our Pamuru Children’s home. These orphan children have never known the warm embrace of a parent. They have never experienced the comfort and security of a home and family. They live in a world most of us cannot comprehend – stark and bleak with no opportunity of a healthy emotional and social development. We at our Pamuru Children’s Home change by “Lighting up the lives of more than 25 orphan boychildren”.
The unifying mission of our orphanage is to serve the needs of poor, helpless, and vulnerable orphan boys by providing food and nutritional support for their proper development, along with shelter and material care, healthcare, psychosocial support, and education. We supply textbooks, stationery, uniforms, and footwear, and conduct regular after-school tuition classes in English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
Apart from this, the children are provided with outdoor and indoor sports activities to help relieve stress and anxiety. They are also taught applied learning activities on topics such as environmental awareness, health and hygiene, the dangers of smoking and alcohol, traffic sense, gender equality, and kitchen gardening. These programs equip them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to live independently in society after completing their teenage years.
