Be Aware, Be Informed, Be Safe. End AIDS, Embrace Inclusion

To build social awareness on sexually transmitted diseases and HIV/AIDS in project areas of Nellore and Prakasam Districts of Andhra Pradesh, India. For urban poor and homeless people, we conduct rallies; educate the inhabitants with meaningful information, by raising awareness and encouraging discussion through Educative Entertainment and information about the free provision of access to appropriate Treatments. The Awareness Programs Rallies, Distributing Pamphlets, Wall Writings in local language for better and easy understanding through IEC Materials.

Our peer educators in the project target areas organize street theater and puppet shows to raise awareness. During these shows, other peer educators make referrals and follow up with individuals through Primary Health Centers and Government Hospitals. After each event, we distribute free condom units in hotspot areas of the target villages. On World HIV/AIDS Day, we conduct a mass rally to sensitize the community, followed by a prize distribution to children to motivate them and reinforce the purpose of the event.

 

Awareness Programs on Tobacco, Leprosy, Health, and Malaria
Loyal Organization for Rural Development (L.O.R.D) regularly conducts awareness programs focusing on vital health issues such as the harmful effects of tobacco, prevention of leprosy, general health education, and control of malaria. These programs are organized in rural and underprivileged communities to educate people about early detection, preventive measures, and the importance of healthy living. Through interactive sessions, street plays, and community meetings, L.O.R.D encourages people to avoid tobacco use, seek timely medical help for leprosy, maintain hygiene, and adopt preventive practices against malaria. These initiatives aim to build a healthier and more informed society, free from preventable disease
