I am proud that the birth of LOYAL ORGANISATION FOR RURAL DEVELOPMENT (LORD) took place at the hearts of self-less dedicated young founder Mr. Noone Prasad and his few likeminded friends. It started with youth to do community work with an intention to do something to the needy community around us. We did not contemplate a village-based youth group will become as Voluntary Organisation serving the needy and disadvantaged communities of the society. Since its inception in the year 1993 our focus was only on community-based activities with our own contributions.
To increase our focus areas and activities, we were falling short of the programme budget. In the month of January’ 1993, we have registered our organization as an Independent Non-Profit, Non- Governmental, Non-Partisan, Secular, Grassroots Organization, dedicated to the upliftment of downtrodden and marginalized poor communities in Prakasam and Nellore District of Andhra Pradesh State, India. We are not affiliated or linked to any Developmental institutions or Networks. We work independently generating funds/donations from individuals, organizations both Domestic and International.
The journey of development interventions started 1993 onwards by mobilizing funds from external sources and implementing several projects to uplift the downtrodden and marginalized community members of the society especially Tribal’s and Dalits, with the support of various International and Domestic Donors. We have undertaken several projects in different project areas and in various fields of areas Viz., Education, Economic Empowerment of women, Environment, Health, Income Generation Programmes, and Skill Trainings. We have Constructed 2 homes for Girls, Boys and Adults etc. All these projects are financially supported by our International Donors, Board Members, Project Staff, volunteers, and community members.
We envision a society where vulnerable, helpless orphans, elderly and people with disabilities, HIV/AIDS infected persons rehabilitated and have right to lead active, healthy and dignified life. We serve all with Love, Dignity, Respect, and Joy, without any discrimination or harassment based on Age, Colour, Caste, religion, Sex, Marital Status, Disability or any other characteristic in accordance with our capacity to help.
